Opening the first Séble Studio

Hello, Upland.

I’m Breana Otey, the founder and hair artist behind Séble Curl Studio — Pronounced SAY-bull.

This first journal entry felt important to write because Séble is not just a new place to get your hair done. It is the beginning of a brand, a hair studio, and a beauty space I have been envisioning for some time.

Séble was created for clients with waves, curls, and coils who want their hair cared for with intention and artistry. A place where curls are understood and not treated like an afterthought. A place where your routine, your style, your season, and the woman you are becoming are implemented in the design of your hair service.

My vision for Séble is rooted in healthy hair, expressive styling, thoughtful education, and beauty that feels Soulful. I love curls deeply, but I also believe they deserve range.

You can love your natural texture and still want a new shape.

You can wear your curls and still enjoy a healthy straight style.

You can want dimension, color, movement, change, or simplicity.

You can evolve without feeling guilty for becoming the woman (or man) you deserve to be.
